MIGS (Minimally Invasive Gynecomastia Surgery)

MIGS (Minimally Invasive Gynecomastia Surgery) technique by Dr. Alexandre Dion

The Technique

MIGS technique involves less invasive surgery, allowing Dr Alexandre to remove excess fat in the breasts by making use of state-of-the-art technologies, such as Ultrasound Assisted Liposculpting (UAL), followed by application of Radiofrequency Energy with helium plasma (Renuvion), to tighten the skin. Dr Alexandre has introduced MIGS as a technique which provides significant advantages over the open-surgical method, including:

  • Less complications
  • Less scarring
  • Faster recovery
  • Less discomfort

Anesthesia & Hospital stay

The procedure is carried out under general anesthesia.
The patient arrives in the morning and is discharged the following morning.

The Results…

Every patient is different, but most men notice improvement immediately after the procedure and continue to see improvement as the area heals over the course of a few weeks.
To help facilitate healing, a compression garment is generally worn for a few days.

Duration of results
MIGS can yield long-lasting, even permanent, results, whilst added to this aesthetic improvement there is usually a positive psychological effect due to the improved self-image and enhanced self-confidence.
